This bachelor thesis deals with the relationship between the Jewish and non-Jewish inhabitants of the Podorlicko region between the years 1930 and 1945. It focuses on the changes of this relationship in the light of the events of the given period. The thesis is based on the specialised literature and the internet sources. The memories of the witnesses derived mainly from the publications focusing on the history of the jewish settlement in the particular areas and towns of Podorlicko and partially from the author's family archive are an important part of the thesis. Concept of the Noahide Laws

Annotation: The seven Noahide laws represent a divine non-Jewish complementary to Jewish law. This thesis has been looking for an answer to the question about concept of those laws, their content, intentions and contemporary use. The main method is analysis of original sources and investigating their mutual relations. Comparison of contemporary guides is also included.

This bachelor thesis focuses on the history of Jews before ghettoisation as well as after it until the period of Shoah (Holocaust), in the town of Breznice (Breznitz) located now in Stredocesky district of Czechia. The focus moves from the short summary of the history of Breznice (chap. 1) to chronologicaly organised events from the lives of Jewish inhabitants of this town. Next chapters deal with architectonical sites (chap. 3), imprortant professions (chap. 4) and selected Jewish figures of Breznice (kap. 5). Scholarly monographs, articles and unpublished material as well as documents from the archive of Jewish Museum of Prague have been used for this thesis.
